We decided to sell the ‘Save Our Women’ shirts at our high school to get people involved in the fight against breast cancer. Our ‘Cancer Awareness Committee’ believes that in order for something like cancer to be beaten, all of society needs to be actively involved, including teenagers. As for myself personally, I really wanted to sell the shirts and contribute to the cause because my older sister contracted Hodgkin’s Lymphoma four years ago. Although the ‘Save Our Women’ shirts are fighting against breast cancer, I still have strong feelings about all cancer and will continue to do anything I can to prevent just one person from going through the pain our family went through. I can thankfully say that my sister is fine and doing very well, and I was proud to sell the shirts knowing I am doing my part in the fight against cancer. It was a truly amazing experience, and I can’t wait to see everyone walking around the school wearing these great shirts that are both beautiful and meaningful.

I wear Save Our Women because it's a cause that is close to my heart. The National Breast Cancer Foundation estimates that each year, over 40,000 women die from Breast Cancer, and I believe it is my duty to do all in my power to lower that astronomical figure as much as I can. I brought Save Our Women products to my school in Toronto, Canada, and all my friends and peers were so enthusiastic about this cause and this product, that we were able to sell around $2500 worth of merchandise in just one week. I'm very proud to be involved in such a worthy cause, and I'm extremely happy to help any way I can.

When I was six years old, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was only 33. At such a young age, I did not really understand what was happening to her. All I knew was that my mommy's hair was falling out and she was always sick. Luckily, she beat this horrible disease and I have been dedicated to the fight against breast cancer ever since. I participate annually in the Relay for Life, and the most invigorating experience is watching my mother walk in the "Survivor Lap." Hopefully, with each small thing I do to help in this fight, more and more women know what it feels like to walk that "Survivor Lap" too.

"As a student run group at Michigan State University, IMPULSEdance strives to move others through their performances. This year, when two members decided to choreograph to Melissa Etheridge's "I Run For Life", they knew they would have an extraordinary opportunity to bring the already tight-knit group closer, and also to evoke a sense of empowerment and determination among those who saw it.
When choosing a costume for the piece, the goal was to be as simple - yet meaningful - as possible. The answer became clear when a friend recommended wearing Save Our Women shirts. Combined with black shorts, the statement made was powerful and moving as 11 girls performed the piece at both IMPULSE's 3rd annual spring showcase and MSU's Relay for Life.
IMPULSEdance is proud to be a part of the Save Our Women family, and hopes to continue to represent this amazing cause. Our fans have now become your fans, and any awareness we can raise is another step in the fight for a cure. We are so grateful for the opportunity to wear your shirts both on stage and off!"
Also: I am currently collecting pictures from the girls, and should get my DVD from the show this week. I'll send them both to you ASAP...we've had so many people ask us about the shirts, I can't thank you enough for helping us out this year!
